*REMEMBER - CLASS DUES ARE COMPLETELY SEPARATE FROM ANNUAL GIVING! Dues not only constitute a pledge of your continuing membership and engagement in the Class of 1986, but they also subsidize off-year Reunions events, both in person and virtually, both in Princeton and around the globe. (They also help us to include classmates who might otherwise be unable to go back to "the best old place of all".)

The matching challenge may be over, but it's never too late to pay your dues. We will continue to go green, so no more dues requests in the mail. Please take a moment to pay your $50 tax deductible class dues. Just sign in to the class website and click Class Dues.

If you prefer to mail a check, make it payable to Princeton Class of 1986 and mail to

Els Paine, 415 Ridgeview Road, Princeton, NJ 08540

Climate Summit

We are thrilled to announce our Second Annual Climate Summit: "Turning the Tide"

on Sunday, November 12, at 12PM Eastern Time

hosted by the Class of ‘86 in collaboration with the Princeton University Speakers Bureau.

Open to members of all Princeton classes!

This year’s program will be headlined by a member of the Princeton Faculty speaking about current research in the area of climate sustainability. The plenary session will be followed by a brief Q&A, then breakout sessions on subjects such as Energy, Nature, Buildings, Transportation, Sustainable Living, Policy and Finance.

The purpose of the summit is for alumni across classes to share expertise and information about climate change solutions across a wide range of disciplines, both to raise awareness and accelerate urgent action. By sharing our efforts with decades of Princeton alumni we have the unique opportunity to build a powerful force for good in a time when it is urgently needed, and together raise hope that we will indeed solve this crisis.

To give us an idea of interest, please RSVP by adding your contact info HERE. Please invite your friends from other classes to join us as well!

If you have expertise in a particular area and would like to discuss hosting a breakout session, please let us know at

Monthly Birthday Zooms !!!

Starting December 6!!!

We (most of us anyway) have a milestone birthday coming up in 2024 - yikes!

Let's make our 60th a little less painful by celebrating it together! Watch this spot for details...

Community Service Project

The Great Class of 1986 is proud to be partnering with the Kids In Need Foundation.

KINF is committed to creating equitable learning environments in schools serving struggling communities.

The only national non-profit of its kind, KINF provides support and supplies for teachers and students in under-resourced schools nationwide.

The goal of our partnership with KINF is not only to raise money,

but to raise awareness of the issues teachers and students face in far-too-many American schools.

Materials for all of these events were purchased by the Class of '86 through the Kids in Need Foundation.

If you were unable to attend an event and/or you'd like to underwrite a backpack or two ($40 each), please click HERE.

As always, thank you for your support!  Karen Jackson Ruffin ‘86, Community Service Chair

Film Club ???

Stay tuned for news about our newest venture. For those who don't have the time or bandwidth for a book club, how about a film club?

We'll all watch the same film, then gather virtually to discuss. Movie ideas? Let Howard Stolar and David Powelstock know.

Bonus points if the screenplay was adapted from a book!!
