Jamal Mazuri

Born in Uganda, Jamal Mazrui comes from a biracial heritage of a Kenyan father and British mother. In high school, Jamal unexpectedly lost his eyesight due to a rare genetic condition, so issues concerning the rights and empowerment of people with disabilities became both a personal and professional interest.

Jamal obtained a Bachelor's in systems engineering from Princeton and a Master's in public policy from Harvard. His career positions have included serving as a database administrator, legislative analyst, event organizer, and software developer. Currently, he works as an accessibility analyst for Amazon Web Services, while living with his wife and daughter in Seattle.

Cherishing his Princeton experience, Jamal is pleased to contribute toward advancing DEI issues with Javier and our class.
